S. 1789 — Training and Nutrition Stability Act of 2025

This section amends the income exclusion provisions of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2014), which governs the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), to exclude from household income any payments, income, allowances, or earnings derived from (1) any SNAP work program under section 6(o)(1) (unless established under specified veterans educational assistance laws), (2) any SNAP employment and training program under section 6(d)(4), (3) any vocational rehabilitation program as defined in section 3 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (29 U.S.C. 3102), or (4) any refugee employment program under section 412(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1522(c)). (Thus, SNAP benefits for participants in these programs are not reduced by such earnings.) The section also strikes subsection (l) of section 5 and makes conforming amendments.
