S. 1923 — CFPB Pay Fairness Act of 2025

This section revises the compensation structure for employees of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB) by requiring the Director to set and adjust basic pay rates in accordance with the General Schedule under 5 U.S.C. §5332 (previously, pay rates were set and adjusted by the Director notwithstanding title 5 classification and pay provisions and required to be comparable to compensation provided by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System). The amendment takes effect 90 days after enactment.
