S. 2218 — Combat Action Recognition and Evaluation (CARE) for Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Crews Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretaries of the military departments, not later than 180 days after enactment, to establish a status identifier of equivalent merit to a combat status identifier for remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) crew who conduct combat operations. (Thus, RPA crew receive formal recognition comparable to personnel with traditional combat status identifiers, which denote participation in combat for purposes such as awards and career progression.)
