S. 2245 — A bill to amend the Digital Coast Act to improve the acquisition, integration, and accessibility of data of the Digital Coast program and to extend the program.

This section amends the Digital Coast program (i.e., NOAA program integrating geospatial data, decision-support tools, training, and best practices to enhance coastal resilience, ecosystems, and economic growth) by (1) requiring data and integrated products to be fully and freely available (in addition to readily accessible) via specified websites; (2) in subsection (d), expanding data priorities to include underground infrastructure and subsurface utilities, making conforming punctuation changes, and limiting trainings to technical instruction in the use of program data and tools; and (3) extending the program through 2030 (from 2025).
