S. 2263 — Control Tower Continuity Act

This section removes the age limitation allowing retention of air traffic controllers only until age 61 following mandatory separation (typically at age 56), effective 180 days after enactment. It further directs the FAA Administrator, not later than 180 days after enactment, to update FAA Order 3930.3C (Air Traffic Control Specialist Health Program), or successor order, to require medical clearances for controllers age 61 or older to expire on the last day of the six-month period following the examination date.
