S. 2328 — Military Learning for Credit Act of 2025

This section authorizes individuals entitled to veterans educational assistance under chapters 30, 32, 33, 34, or 35 of title 38, U.S. Code (i.e., Montgomery GI Bill-Active Duty, Montgomery GI Bill-Selected Reserve, Post-9/11 GI Bill, and Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance), or other similar laws, to use such assistance to cover costs of covered examinations and assessments (i.e., DSST, CLEP, National Career Readiness Certificate examinations; similar examinations designated by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; and portfolio or narrative assessments of prior military training or learning by institutions of higher learning) for credit toward degrees in approved programs of education. The assistance covers the lesser of the amount charged or $500 per examination or assessment and charges entitlement on a pro-rated basis equal to that cost divided by the individual's monthly assistance rate. Such charges do not affect entitlement under Department of Defense educational assistance programs, including the Tuition Assistance Program.
