S. 2344 — Department of Veterans Affairs Claim Sharks Effective Warnings Act of 2025

This section revises Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requirements for warnings on public-facing websites and online tools regarding predatory practices by agents and attorneys assisting veterans with claims (i.e., those not recognized by VA under 38 U.S.C. §5901(a)). Specifically, it (1) expands warnings to appear on each such website and tool (from issuance each time a claimant logs in), (2) specifies that warnings cover individuals lacking VA recognition, (3) adds a message discouraging veterans from sharing VA or bank account login credentials (e.g., usernames or passwords) with anyone, and (4) requires implementation through the Chief Veterans Experience Officer. The changes take effect 180 days after enactment.
