S. 2353 — Microplastics Safety Act

This section directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, to conduct a study on human health impacts of exposure to microplastics in food and water that (1) identifies major pathways of human exposure to microplastics; (2) addresses impacts on children's health, the endocrine system, cancer, chronic illness, and reproductive health; and (3) covers other areas as the Secretary determines appropriate. The Secretary must submit a report to Congress on the study's findings and recommendations for legislative or administrative action not later than one year after enactment.
