S. 2521 — Provider Training in Palliative Care Act

This section authorizes the Secretary to defer, for up to one year, the obligated service of individuals under the National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program or Loan Repayment Program (i.e., subpart III of part D of title III of the Public Health Service Act) to receive training in palliative care. (Thus, scholarship recipients and loan repayment participants committed to providing primary health services in health professional shortage areas may temporarily postpone service for such training.)
