S. 2551 — Extending Anti-Terrorism Protections Act of 2025

This section authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security, through FY2029, to temporarily extend protections under the Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002 (SAFETY Act; i.e., liability protections for sellers of qualified anti-terrorism technologies designed to prevent, detect, or mitigate terrorism) if a complete renewal application is submitted no later than 165 days before expiration. Such temporary extensions do not limit the Secretary's authority to approve or deny the renewal application.
