S. 2622 — Space Ready Act

This section defines terms for purposes of the Act, specifically (1) "Administration" as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, (2) "Administrator" as the Administrator of NASA, and (3) "NASA" as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

This section authorizes the NASA Administrator to conduct a pilot program for private and public investment in specific infrastructure projects at Kennedy Space Center (KSC). It establishes in the Treasury the Infrastructure Investment Fund for NASA infrastructure investments, permits the inclusion of assessments in NASA real property agreements under 51 U.S.C. §20113(e) (i.e., for public and commercial activities at KSC) to fund capital repairs, maintenance, and improvements to NASA-owned KSC infrastructure supporting such activities—with deposits available until expended and improvements remaining U.S. property—requires annual reports to Congress on Fund activity starting 180 days after enactment, and terminates assessment authority on December 31, 2035 (without affecting existing agreements or Fund proceeds).
