S. 2636 — A bill to prohibit individuals who are not citizens of the United States from voting in elections in the District of Columbia and to repeal the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022.

This section repeals the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022 (D.C. Law 24-242), which permitted non-citizens legally residing in the District of Columbia to vote in local elections, and restores all prior D.C. law to its pre-enactment status. (Thus, eligibility to vote in D.C. local elections reverts to U.S. citizens only.)
