S. 2787 — Grasslands Grazing Act of 2025

This section amends section 402(a) of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 1752(a)) to expand eligibility for grazing leases and permits to all National Forest System lands (as defined in 16 U.S.C. 1609(a)) (from lands within National Forests). The National Forest System includes all national forest lands, national grasslands and land utilization projects administered under title III of the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act (7 U.S.C. 1010 et seq.), and other lands administered by the Forest Service; subsection (b) clarifies that the amendment does not affect the applicability of other Federal Land Policy and Management Act provisions, title III of the Bankhead-Jones Farm Tenant Act, or section 11 of the Public Rangelands Improvement Act of 1978 (43 U.S.C. 1907) to national grasslands.
