S. 2848 — DoD COW Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of Defense to pay costs of changing "Department of Defense" to "Department of War" on physical signage, websites, stationery, printed media, and digital media owned or operated by the U.S. government (covered costs)—first by reallocating funds available for Department of Defense travel expenses and then, if necessary, by reallocating funds available for military department travel expenses. The section further requires the Secretary to submit to Congress, not later than one year after the date of enactment, a report on the total amount of covered costs obligated or expended.
