S. 2891 — Democracy in Design Act

This section amends duties of the Administrator of General Services under 40 U.S.C. 3303 by (1) inserting a definition of "the Administrator" in subsection (a), and (2) adding subsection (e) to require adherence to the principles described in the report entitled "Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture," published by the Ad Hoc Committee on Federal Office Space on June 1, 1962, in designing public buildings in the United States. It further directs the Administrator to promulgate implementing regulations, including minimum design standards for public buildings, within 180 days of enactment after notice and comment rulemaking under 5 U.S.C. 553.
