S. 3018 — A bill to permit visiting dignitaries and service members from Taiwan to display the flag of the Republic of China.

This section requires the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense to permit members of Taiwan's Armed Forces, government representatives from the Republic of China (Taiwan), or Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) representatives to display symbols of Republic of China sovereignty—including the flag of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and military unit emblems or insignia—for official purposes. Those purposes include (1) wearing official uniforms, (2) conducting government-hosted ceremonies or functions, and (3) appearances on Department of State or Department of Defense social media accounts promoting engagements with Taiwan.
