S. 3107 — USPS Act

This section requires the Comptroller General of the United States to investigate nationwide patterns and instances of theft of mail and United States Postal Service property and to submit a report on each investigation to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the House of Representatives not later than one year after enactment of this Act and each year thereafter for five years. Each report must describe measures the Postal Service has in place to address such theft and provide recommendations on how the Postal Service and Congress can combat it. In carrying out these requirements, the Comptroller General must consult with the Inspector General of the Postal Service and the United States Postal Inspection Service.
