S. 3182 — No Torts for Trump Act

This section establishes a new exception to the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA)—which waives sovereign immunity for certain tort claims against the United States—for any claim brought by the President or an individual who subsequently becomes President while the claim is pending, without regard to when the underlying act or omission occurred. The exception applies to claims pending on or brought on or after the date of enactment.
