S. 3267 — ASAP Act

This section establishes Medicare Part B coverage for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias early detection screening tests (i.e., FDA-cleared, approved, or classified tests furnished on or after January 1, 2028, for pre-symptomatic or early-stage detection, including specified genomic sequencing blood tests or Secretary-determined equivalents such as certain blood, tissue, urine, biospecimen, or imaging tests). The section provides payment for such tests under the clinical diagnostic laboratory fee schedule (i.e., 80% of the fee-scheduled amount, or 100% if on an assignment-related basis).
