This section directs the Director of National Intelligence and each head of an element of the intelligence community, not later than 180 days after the date of enactment, to jointly (1) perform a declassification review of intelligence products relating to the origins of COVID-19, including research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology or other centers in the People's Republic of China, gain-of-function research and its intentions, and sources of funding or direction for coronavirus research from China and foreign sources; (2) perform a declassification review of intelligence products on efforts by officials or entities of the People's Republic of China to disrupt or obstruct information sharing, investigations, and medical research on COVID-19 origins, transmissibility, and countermeasures, including promoting alternative narratives; (3) make appropriately redacted versions of such intelligence publicly available to protect sources, methods, and information on U.S. persons; and (4) submit unredacted versions to the congressional intelligence committees.
