S. 332 — Holocaust Education and Antisemitism Lessons Act

This section directs the Director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to conduct a study on Holocaust education efforts (i.e., educational activities to advance students' awareness of the Holocaust, prevent genocide and bigotry, and study antisemitism) in all states, a nationally representative sample of local educational agencies, and a representative sample of public elementary and secondary schools, beginning not later than 180 days after enactment. The study must determine curriculum requirements and optional programs; summarize standards implementation, including professional development, resources, challenges, and use of United States Holocaust Memorial Museum materials; identify intended outcomes, teaching methods (e.g., project-based learning, trauma-informed activities), instructional materials, disciplines, time allotted, and curriculum comprehensiveness; and examine assessment approaches for student knowledge and analysis of antisemitism, bigotry, hate, and genocide; the Director must submit a report to Congress no later than the earlier of 180 days after study completion or three years after enactment.
