S. 3456 — Law Enforcement Officer and Firefighter Recreation Pass Act

This section revises annual pass provisions under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act to provide, at no cost, the America the Beautiful—National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass to members of the Armed Forces and their dependents, law enforcement officers, and firefighters who provide adequate proof of eligibility, as determined by the Secretary. The pass covers entrance fees and standard amenity recreation fees for federal recreational lands and waters and is valid for 12 months from issuance. (Law enforcement officers and firefighters include personnel from federal, state, local, and tribal governments, with firefighters defined as those performing work directly related to suppressing fires, including wildland fires, and law enforcement officers as those authorized to engage in or supervise prevention, detection, or investigation of criminal violations or supervision of sentenced offenders.)
