S. 3472 — National Strategy for School Security Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Secretary of Education and heads of other appropriate federal agencies, to submit to specified congressional committees a national strategy to secure elementary and secondary schools from terrorism threats not later than one year after enactment, with annual updates through 2033 if appropriate (or a certification that no update is needed). The strategy must (1) describe all federal programs, projects, activities, and authorities to secure such schools, including associated spending levels; (2) identify terrorism-related vulnerabilities and goals to address them; (3) outline actions, means, and reforms to achieve those goals; and (4) incorporate existing evaluations to avoid duplication.
