S. 3542 — Upper Raritan River Watershed Wild and Scenic River Study Act of 2025

This section designates segments of the Upper Raritan River Watershed in New Jersey—including the North Branch Raritan River from its headwaters to its confluence with the South Branch Raritan River; the South Branch Raritan River from its headwaters to its confluence with the North Branch Raritan River (including tributaries upstream of Spruce Run Reservoir); the Lamington-Black River from its headwaters to its confluence with the North Branch Raritan River; and all tributaries of those rivers within the watershed—for study for potential addition to the national wild and scenic rivers system. It further requires the Secretary of the Interior to complete the study and submit a report to the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and the House Committee on Natural Resources not later than three years after funds are made available.
