S. 3688 — RURAL Rate Act

This section revises the special rule for Alaska's practice expense and work geographic indices under the Medicare physician fee schedule (i.e., indices that adjust physician payments for geographic cost variations) by limiting the current floor to services furnished before January 1, 2026, and establishing a new floor of 1.67 for such indices (if calculated below that level) for services furnished on or after that date.
