S. 3692 — PREVENT DIABETES Act

This section provides the short title of the Act as the “Promoting Responsible and Effective Virtual Experiences through Novel Technology to Deliver Improved Access and Better Engagement with Tested and Evidence-based Strategies Act” or the “PREVENT DIABETES Act”.

This section authorizes entities meeting Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program (MDPP) supplier enrollment conditions to participate in MDPP solely through distance learning or online delivery modalities from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2029. It further (1) permits such entities to submit payment claims for online MDPP services furnished to beneficiaries located in other states; and (2) eliminates limits on the number of times an individual may enroll in MDPP. (As background, MDPP furnishes lifestyle change interventions to Medicare beneficiaries with prediabetes to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes.)
