S. 3722 — Lowering Home Energy Costs Act

This section restores the energy efficient home improvement credit under section 25C of the Internal Revenue Code, which was repealed by section 70505 of Public Law 119–21. (The credit provides a nonrefundable tax credit equal to 30% of qualified energy efficiency improvements—such as insulation, windows, and doors (up to $1,200)—and qualified energy property—such as heat pumps and efficient water heaters (up to $2,000, for a total annual cap of $3,200)—with the restoration effective as of the enactment of Public Law 119–21.)
