S. 3728 — Long-Distance Corridor Relief Enhancement Act

This section modifies a consideration factor for selecting intercity passenger rail corridors into the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program (i.e., competitive grants to states and rail carriers for corridor planning, development, and operations) by exempting long-distance route corridors from any requirement to demonstrate or have considered committed or anticipated non-Federal funding. The exemption applies to any such corridor accepted into the program on or after October 1, 2023.
