S. 3730 — Emergency Medical Services Reimbursement for On-Scene Care and Support Act

This section expands Medicare Part B coverage of ambulance services to include, effective January 1, 2027, medically necessary services furnished by an ambulance provider or supplier regardless of whether transportation occurs, reimbursed at rates comparable to transportation reimbursement. (As background, current law limits coverage to ambulance services that include medically necessary transportation of a beneficiary.)
