S. 3747 — Home School Graduation Recognition Act

This section revises the heading of section 484(d) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 from "Who Are Not High School Graduates" to "From Non-Traditional Settings" and adds a new paragraph (3) deeming a student who completes secondary school education in a home school setting treated as a home school or private school under state law to be a high school graduate for Title IV student aid eligibility purposes. (Thus, such students satisfy the general requirement in section 484(a)(1) to have a recognized educational credential as a condition of receiving federal grants, loans, or work-study assistance.)
