S. 3759 — SAF Act

This section reinstates special rates for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) under the clean fuel production credit by substituting $0.35 for $0.20 per gallon of SAF produced at qualified facilities described in IRC § 45Z(a)(2)(A) and $1.75 for $1.00 per gallon-equivalent of SAF produced at qualified facilities described in IRC § 45Z(a)(2)(B)—where SAF is liquid fuel (other than kerosene) meeting specified ASTM standards for aircraft use and excluding palm fatty acid distillates or petroleum—and extends the credit through December 31, 2033 (from December 31, 2029), for fuel produced after December 31, 2025. (The clean fuel production credit provides per-gallon tax credits to producers for selling low-emissions transportation fuel, with amounts scaled by lifecycle greenhouse gas reductions.)
