S. 3784 — Accounting STEM Pursuit Act

This section includes accounting education as part of well-rounded education activities allowable under the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grants program (i.e., Title IV-A of the ESEA) by (1) adding “accounting education, including accounting career awareness” to the list in section 4104(b)(3)(A)(i); and (2) authorizing activities to promote the development, implementation, and strengthening of accounting programs—including increasing access to high-quality accounting courses for students through grade 12 from groups underrepresented in accounting careers—in local applications under section 4107(a)(3).
