S. 379 — No Red and Blue Banks Act

This section prohibits the General Services Administration from awarding contracts to an insured depository institution (i.e., any bank or savings association the deposits of which are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) or an affiliate thereof if the institution or affiliate avoids doing business with companies engaged in lawful commerce based solely on social policy considerations. The prohibition applies only to contracts awarded on or after the date of enactment.
