S. 3830 — TRUST Act of 2026

This section increases the asset threshold for less frequent FDIC examinations (i.e., every 18 months rather than annually) of certain well-managed and well-capitalized insured depository institutions to $6 billion (from $3 billion)—(1) in paragraph (4)(A) of 12 U.S.C. 1820(d), which applies generally to qualifying institutions; and (2) in paragraph (10), which applies to qualifying institutions that have not changed ownership. (Thus, approximately twice as many institutions qualify for the extended examination cycle.)
