S. 4067 — Land Grant Research Prioritization Act of 2026

This section adds four new research and extension priorities—(1) advanced mechanized harvester technologies, with emphasis on harvesting specialty crops; (2) agricultural applications of artificial intelligence, with emphasis on improving specialty crop production; (3) invasive species management and eradication, including biocontrol, at land-grant colleges and universities; and (4) aquaculture methods for economically and ecologically valuable aquatic and marine species at land-grant colleges and universities—to the list of eligible grant purposes under the Federal-State Partnership for Innovation in Agriculture (7 U.S.C. 5925(d)). (As background, the program authorizes USDA competitive grants to support multistate, multi-institutional research, extension, education, and technology transfer addressing agricultural challenges.)
