S. 4160 — Prediction Markets Are Gambling Act

This section prohibits registered entities from listing for trading or making available for clearing any agreement, contract, or transaction relating to a sporting event or athletic competition (i.e., any live or virtual contest involving physical activity or skill in which individuals or teams compete, including amateur, collegiate, and professional sports) or any casino-style game (i.e., slot machine games, video poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, other casino-style table games, bingo, lottery, or simulations thereof). The prohibition applies to contracts entered into on or after enactment and does not preempt state laws regulating or prohibiting such contracts.
