S. 4250 — Sport Fish Restoration, Recreational Boating Safety, and Wildlife Restoration Act of 2026

This section extends through FY2031 (from FY2026) the formula for distributing the balance of annual Dingell-Johnson Sport Fish Restoration Act appropriations—after administrative expenses and multistate conservation activities—including 18.673% for coastal wetlands restoration under the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection, and Restoration Act, 17.315% for state recreational boating safety programs, 4% for boating infrastructure improvement (with no more than 75% available for projects under either the Clean Vessel Act or related grants), and 2% for the National Outreach and Communications Program (available for three fiscal years). This section also revises the multistate conservation grant program set-aside by (1) removing the $1.2 million cap per annual appropriation and (2) increasing the minimum for grants to the greater of 0.0375% of such appropriation or $200,000 (from $200,000).
