S. 4408 — Supporting Energy and Economic Development (SEED) Act

This section extends the biodiesel mixture credit and biodiesel credit under section 40A of the Internal Revenue Code through December 31, 2029 (from December 31, 2024). It also extends the related excise tax credit under section 6426(c) and payments under section 6427(e) for biodiesel and renewable diesel through the same date. The section denies the income tax credit for any fuel eligible for the clean fuel production credit under section 45Z and coordinates the excise tax credit with section 45Z to prevent double benefits. The amendments apply to fuel sold or used on or after the date of enactment of this Act.
