S. 489 — Air Guard STATUS Act of 2025

This section directs the Secretary of the Air Force to establish a permanent program to provide tuition assistance under 10 U.S.C. 2007 to members of the Air National Guard who comply with training requirements prescribed under 32 U.S.C. 502(a). (As background, 10 U.S.C. 2007 authorizes the secretaries concerned to pay all or a portion of tuition and expenses for off-duty education or training by eligible service members, generally subject to post-education service agreements of two years for active-duty officers or four years for reserve officers.)
