S. 569 — POSTAL Act

This section prohibits the U.S. Postal Service from closing, consolidating, downgrading, or taking any similar action with respect to a processing and distribution center (i.e., a central mail facility that distributes incoming and outgoing mail for a service area, provides mail preparation instructions to mailers, and operates as a sectional center facility, general mail facility, or dedicated mail processing facility without a station or branch) in a state (i.e., a state or the District of Columbia) if such action would result in no processing and distribution center remaining in that state.
