S. 621 — A bill to accept the request to revoke the charter of incorporation of the Lower Sioux Indian Community in the State of Minnesota at the request of that Community, and for other purposes.

This section accepts the request of the Lower Sioux Indian Community in Minnesota to surrender, and revokes, its charter of incorporation issued and ratified on July 17, 1937, under §17 of the Indian Reorganization Act (25 U.S.C. 5124). (Such charters authorize federally recognized tribes to incorporate for business purposes, including holding and managing property, subject to restrictions on trust or restricted reservation lands.)
