S. 914 — Protect Veteran Jobs Act

This section provides reinstatement eligibility to any veteran involuntarily removed or dismissed without cause from a civil service position between January 20, 2025, and the date of enactment, to that position or any other civil service position for which qualified. This section further requires each Executive agency head to submit reports to the appropriate congressional committees (i.e., Senate Committees on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and Veterans’ Affairs; House Committees on Oversight and Government Reform and Veterans’ Affairs)—not later than 60 days after enactment and every 90 days thereafter until January 20, 2029—detailing (1) the total number of veteran former employees removed or dismissed during the period covered by the report and (2) the reason for each such removal or dismissal.
