S. 923 — Harriet Tubman Tribute Act of 2025

This section requires the Secretary of the Treasury to ensure that the face of all $20 Federal Reserve notes printed after December 31, 2030, bear the likeness of Harriet Tubman. The Secretary may delay that date by up to two years upon submitting to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and the House Committee on Financial Services a determination—made after consultation with the Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and the Director of the United States Secret Service—that issuance after December 31, 2030, would pose an unacceptable risk of counterfeiting or to the safe, secure, and speedy functioning of the U.S. economy.
