This section states the sense of Congress respecting and valuing U.S. law enforcement professionals; honoring those officers and their families who have experienced a death or injury in the line of duty; calling for increased measures to maximize officer safety and well-being, including more personnel, improved training and equipment, tougher penalties for assaulting or killing officers, and increased mental health resources; and urging all levels of government to ensure law enforcement receives necessary support and resources.
