S.Con.Res. 3 — A concurrent resolution authorizing the use of the rotunda of the Capitol for the lying in state of the remains of the late James Earl Carter, Jr., 39th President of the United States.

This section permits the remains of the late James Earl Carter, Jr., the 39th President of the United States, to lie in state in the Capitol rotunda from January 7, 2025, until January 9, 2025. It directs the Architect of the Capitol, under the direction of the Senate Majority Leader and Speaker of the House of Representatives, to arrange the event and to transfer the catafalque from the Exhibition Hall of the Capitol Visitor Center to the rotunda for the services.
