S.J.Res. 101 — A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sales to Taiwan of certain defense articles and services.

This section prohibits seven proposed foreign military sales to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO)—Taiwan's de facto diplomatic mission—as notified to Congress pursuant to section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2776(b)(1)) and published in the Congressional Record on December 18, 2025, specifically: (1) Tactical Mission Network and related non-major defense equipment under Transmittal No. 25-56; (2) AH-1W helicopter spare and repair parts under Transmittal No. 25-93; (3) 60 M109A7 Self-Propelled Howitzers, 60 M992A3 Carrier Ammunition Tracked Vehicles, 13 M88A2 Recovery Vehicles, 4,080 Precision Guidance Kits, and 42 International Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems, plus related non-major defense equipment, under Transmittal No. 25-108; (4) 82 M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, 420 M57 Army Tactical Missile Systems, 756 M31A2 GMLRS-U pods, 447 M30A2 GMLRS-AW pods, 39 M1152A1 HMMWVs, and 45 International Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems, plus related non-major defense equipment, under Transmittal No. 26-01; (5) 1,545 TOW 2B missiles, 14 fly-to-buy missiles, and 24 Improved Target Acquisition Systems, plus related non-major defense equipment, under Transmittal No. 26-02; and (6) 1,050 Javelin FGM-148F missiles, 10 fly-to-buy missiles, and 70 Javelin Lightweight Command Launch Units, plus related non-major defense equipment, under Transmittal No. 26-06. (Thus, the executive branch may not issue letters of offer or approve licenses for these sales.)
