S.J.Res. 158 — A joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the proposed foreign military sales to the Government of the United Arab Emirates of certain defense articles and services.

This section prohibits a proposed foreign military sale to the United Arab Emirates, as notified to Congress under section 36(b)(1) of the Arms Export Control Act (22 U.S.C. 2776(b)(1)) in Transmittal No. RSAT 26–46. The prohibited sale includes the following major defense equipment: three GBU-39/B inert practice bombs, 1,500 GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs Increment I, 900 KMU-556 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guidance sets, and 300 KMU-557 JDAM guidance sets; as well as non-major defense equipment items such as GBU-39 tactical training rounds, FMU-139 fuze systems, DSU-42 and DSU-40 laser illuminated target detectors, ground support systems, encryptors, precision navigation equipment, joint mission planning systems, maintenance and support equipment, spare parts, training, publications, and U.S. government and contractor logistics services.
