S.Res. 141 — A resolution recognizing the 204th anniversary of the independence of Greece and celebrating democracy in Greece and the United States.

This section expresses the sense of the Senate (1) congratulating the people of Greece on the 204th anniversary of its independence; (2) supporting Greece's commitment to democratic governance; (3) commending the Greek-American community for its contributions to the United States and role bridging the two nations; (4) recognizing Greece's role in Europe and the community of nations since independence; (5) appreciating the U.S.-Greece bilateral relationship, including energy and security partnerships that bolster European energy security; and (6) valuing Greece as a NATO ally contributing to regional stability.
