S.Res. 218 — A resolution condemning any acceptance of Presidential aircraft, or any other substantial gift, from a foreign government.

This section expresses the sense of the Senate that (1) acceptance of a Presidential aircraft or any other substantial gift from a foreign government constitutes a grave national security threat to the Office of the President; (2) the President may accept such a gift only with explicit consent of Congress; (3) the executive branch should reject operating an aircraft not built under Department of Defense security specifications or supervision as Air Force One; and (4) acceptance of such a gift is condemned if it violates any law.
