S.Res. 250 — A resolution recognizing National Foster Care Month as an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges of children in the foster care system, and encouraging Congress to implement policies to improve the lives of children in the foster care system.

This section supports the designation of (1) May 2025 as National Foster Care Month and (2) May 31, 2025, as National Foster Parent Appreciation Day; recognizes the challenges faced by children in the foster care system, the tenacity of foster youth, the advocacy of foster care alumni, and the dedication of foster care workers; encourages Congress to implement policies to improve outcomes for children in foster care; and reaffirms efforts to support vulnerable families, prevent foster care entry, promote reunification and adoption as appropriate, serve children in care, and facilitate transitions to adulthood for youth aging out of the system.
